Dr. Martin Seybold LL.M. Eur., German Lawyer
Born: 1971
1991: High school diploma (Abitur) in Münsingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
1993 - 1999: Law studies at the Christian Albrecht University in Kiel, at the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg and at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich
1999 - 2001: Legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich, Bavaria, Germany
2003: Master's degree in European and International Business Law (LL.M. Eur.)
2004: Doctorate in political science at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich
Since 2002: Admitted to the German bar
Beginning of 2002, Dr. Seybold began his professional career as Research Assistant at the Chair of Prof. Voigt at the University of the German Federal Armed Forces in Neubiberg / Munich, advising the Federal Ministry of Defence.
From 2003 he worked for 2 years as In-house Counsel at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.
In January 2005, Dr. Seybold moved to China, Beijing and set-up his own Law Firm SA I Seybold Associates.
In 2013, he took over the management of the Legal Department of the Beijing Office of a well-known German legal, tax and business consulting firm. From 2016, he was responsible for its Beijing and Guangzhou Offices as Managing Partner. From 2019, he was also responsible as Co-Head of the Legal operations of the Shanghai Office.
Beginning of 2020, Dr. Seybold moved to Vietnam as the assigned future Head of the Vietnam operations in Saigon and Hanoi.
Beginning of 2021, Dr. Seybold changed to a renowned international Law Firm with its Asia Headquarters in Singapore, Heading the Vietnam Office in Saigon.
Since January 2023, Dr. Seybold is located to Frankfurt, Germany, where he is currently living and working.
Dr. Seybold speaks fluent Chinese, English and French, and basic Vietnamese.
He can read and translate Chinese contracts, documents and legal texts, and can write in Chinese.
